Goal

Give operational visibility over SONDA's enterprise cloud, built on VMware vCloud Director with more than 1,000 virtual machines.

What I did

  • Built a monitoring stack with Elasticsearch, Logstash and Kibana, customized for vCloud Director.
  • Set up Logstash ingestion and parsing for platform logs and events.
  • Built Kibana dashboards to track the state of more than 1,000 VMs.
